Ohio Water Development Authority

The Ohio Water Development Authority is a body both corporate and politic in the state. Its mission is to provide financial assistance for environmental infrastructure from the sale of municipal revenue bonds through loans to local governments in Ohio and from issuance of industrial revenue bonds for qualified projects in Ohio. The authority consists of eight members, including: five members appointed by the governor with advice and consent of the Ohio Senate, the director of natural resources, the director of environmental projection and the director of development. Each member serves an eight year term. The OWDA has the authority to issue revenue bonds as well as to aquire, construct, improve and maintain water development projects in the state.
